Consignment at dressology


Let’s face it, each dollar counts more than ever. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Dressology Consignment! Starting December 5th, 2024, we will be offering Gently Cherished Dressology dresses for 50% off the original retail price. “Gently Cherished” is a Dressology dress that has been worn, yet is in pristine condition, cleaned, and ready for its next adventure. A dedicated section of the store will showcase these amazing consignment options. Don’t hesitate to check it out. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

For all of our Dressology Customers, if you’ve purchased a dress from Dressology in the past three (3) years and would like to send any of your “Gently Cherished” dresses off for their next adventure, here’s how it works:

  • Condition Requirements: Items must be free of any flaws and professionally cleaned.
  • Alteration Disclosure: Any alterations must be noted, as they can affect sizing.
  • Selling Terms: We’ll showcase your dress for 90 days at half the original purchase price (excluding tax).
  • Payment Options: You’ll receive 40% of the purchase price by check or 50% in-store credit, paid 30 days after your dress sells.
  • Item Pickup: We’ll notify you when your 90 days are up and schedule a time for you to pick up any unsold items.

Consignment Contract


 

  1. Payment: The consignor will receive 40% of the selling price after the item is sold or 50% of in-store credit. All contracts are for 90 days.
  2. Sale Participation: Seasonal sales, coupons, and markdowns may apply. By signing this contract, you agree to have your items included in any sale we decide to promote. At 60 days your item will be automatically marked down 25% off the listed selling price.
  3. Unsold Items: If your item does not sell, we will notify you by the end of the 90-day period, so you may schedule an appointment to pick up the item.
  4. Item Ownership: Any unsold item left in the store after 30 days of being notified will then become store property, and consignor will forfeit any refund.
  5. Payment Process: Payments are in the form of a check or store credit and will be mailed 30 days after the item has sold.
  6. Store Credit Usage: You may use the store credit in your account towards any merchandise in the shop without any additional fees.
  7. Liability Disclaimer: We are not responsible for the loss of any item due to theft, fire, flood, etc. We provide careful observance to prevent damage and/or theft, but it does occur. If your item is found to be damaged at any time, you will have seven (7) days to pick up the item before it is donated. We will NOT pay for unsold or damaged items for any reason.
